Seriously you have to be a moron to do that.  What makes Ted Cruz’s argument even more off base is that he went to Harvard Law School so he should have known that the rights enshrined in the Bill of Rights aren’t absolute.  Joe Scarborough was particularly annoyed about this.

In which another Republican Senator tries to hide the fact that he knows less about the Constitution that you think he does by using fear tactics and obscuring the truth.

You know what pisses me off about this?  Really, REALLY pisses me off?  That’s George (H.W.) Bush holding that umbrella.  He was president 1981-1989.  Do you get that?

Elephants live in matriarchal groups where males are excluded except to breed.  They’re herbivores and are known to be highly empathetic to other elephants as well as their dead; if one elephant in the group is in trouble, all the other elephants will pitch in to help it out.  They also practice collective raising of the young, with young elephants being tended to by all members of the herd. You guys, elephants are socialist vegan feminists who support public education. It’s also worth mentioning that most elephants are bisexual.

A reassuring note for people who are worried about Obama not being able to get legislation passed with his partisan Congress:

He’s less likely now, to pander to bipartisanship now that he’s not looking for reelection! He’s more likely to assert himself and take risks. 

(Thinking about some good ‘ol Clinton-style control? Edit: Just kidding, he’s the one trying to pass legislation and not the Republicans, ugh… we’ll see.)

I really hope that from now on Obama is just like “Fuck all y’all mother fuckers, we’re getting stuff done. So get out of my way.” and then drop kicks the door like he did that one time.
