aurora gargby `bri-chan
The final piece in the series, Aurora. Her outfit is based on her Briar Rose peasant dress, since I wanted to leave out the whole blue vs pink thing. And yes, there are obvious Maleficent/Dragon references that worked their way into her design. I though it fit her.I know I didn’t do all the princesses, but I kinda got worn out. I’d like to continue them someday and finish Belle, Cindy, and maybe Tiana.

Aurora looks awesome here. She kinda reminds me of Demona here as well as Maleficent.

ariel gargby `bri-chan
Continuing the series, Ariel as a (sea) gargoyle. Before the Gathering convention, not much was known about mer-goyles so I didn’t have much to go on. Later Greg Weisman revealed that they would have a lower half similar to a dolphin, and perhaps wings like manta rays. I didn’t know this at the time so I simply went with what fans had talked about.Ariel does have legs, but no wings. I gave her webbed arms and feet, and went with a kinda tropical fish color scheme. She also has gills in her neck. A lot of her design is inaccurate to Gargoyle canon, but I still like it.

I like this better then her being some Manta Ray thing. Though I would like to see her in a full mermaid mode though.

giselle gargby `bri-chan
Continuing my series, Giselle as a gargoyle. The pose comes from *MarkNewman’s statue “Iris in bloom” [link]It was so beautiful and Mucha-esque I thought it would work wonderfully for Giselle.

Giselle is not the first Princess that I would have thought of for this but I love the way it looks.

snow white gargby `bri-chan
Snow White as a Gargoyle, done for The Gathering of the Gargoyles convention. Since Snow is the youngest and most innocent of princesses, I gave her feathered wings for a more angelic look.

Her characterization of Snow White is not quite how I would have described her, I thought that Ariel was the youngest of the bunch personally.

jasmine gargby `bri-chan
Jasmine as a gargoyle. Btw, the reason I didn’t do any backgrounds for this series was because I was very limited on time. I had a little over a week to do 5 or 6 of them for the convention, so I mainly focused on the characters themselves.

I miss Gargoyles and I love how this looks.
